In this era of globalization, having the right talent is an essential prerequisite for any industry to grow and flourish. This is especially true for film and television industry, a unique creative field which depends on the collaboration of a multitude of specialized talents. Without these people, creative ideas are stalled, and without creativity, the entire industry will come to a standstill.
Having an ambitious vision for our local entertainment industry, experienced producer and CEO of Juita Entertainment, Sampson Yuen, has thus established three inter-supportive film and TV institutions, i.e. JE Pictures, JE Academy and JE Talent Management. JE Pictures - under the supervision of Jason Kok, Tan Chee Hon, and Tan Poi Sin - focuses on the developments of television drama, movies and documentaries, aiming to reach a wider audience in and out of Malaysia with its high-quality productions with great support from the largest media groups in Malaysia, the Juita Viden Media Entertainment Group which has been in the industry for 32 years.
By recruiting experienced foreign and local industry members as its strong lineup of instructors and gurus, JE Academy endeavors to discover and cultivate an army of acting, producing/directing and writing talents, while JE Talent Management would focus on career planning for its artists. These two institutions would be put under the management of Chong Yiing Yng, while seasoned actress, Yeo Yann Yann, and Veronica Ong - the wife and manager of famous host, Jack Lim - would act as its advisors.
In bridging JE Pictures and JE Talent Management, JE Academy plays a crucial part in ensuring the supply of talents. To achieve that purpose, JE Academy would offer all the main courses tailored made to satisfy the needs of the local film and television industry. Based on the operation model of overseas film and TV training center, the academy is set to discover Malaysian talents and to inject new blood into not just the creative circle in Malaysia, but the international entertainment arena as well.
