Biography |
|
Jojo Hui began her career in movies as an Assistant Director and Associate Producer on numerous Hong Kong films, collaborating with Peter Chan on many of his earlier projects, including the audience and critics' favorites, Alan And Eric : Between Hello And Goodbye and HE'S A WOMAN, SHE'S A MAN.
She also served as Associate Producer and Assistant Director on the internationally acclaimed COMRADES, ALMOST A LOVE STORY (1997), Teddy Chen's PURPLE STORM (1999) and THE ACCIDENTAL SPY (2000) (which starred Jackie Chan). For PURPLE STORM, Hui co-wrote the screenplay. She also worked with Wayne Wang on CHINESE BOX (1997) as an assistant director, and with Tsui Hark on KNOCK OFF (1998) as a casting director.
Most recently, Hui served as producer on JAN DARA, associate producer and script writer on THE EYE, and producer on the Hong Kong segment of THREE.
