Liang Tien started his career as an actor of an amateur theatre group before joining TVB as a contract artist in 1970. During his time in TVB, Liang starred in a number of major roles in the TV drama series.
Despite his success in TVB, Liang made a surprising career in 1974, joining the Redifusion TV as a director, producer and script supervisor although he still made sporadic appearances in the RTV drama series.
He also appeared in films such as The House Of 72 Tenants, Two Con Men, Carry On Con Men and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. It was Liang's turn as the wily and loquacious Chen Meng-chi in Two Con Men and Carry On Con Men that won him legions of new fans.
Despite his many successes, Liang returned to his favorite art form "the theatre" in the 90's. Since then he has appeared in many theatrical dramas and muscicals.
