Long before Stephen Chow, the Hui brothers dominated the HK box office from the mid seventies to the mid eighties. Their non-sensical humor inspired many actors and filmmakers. Not only they could display 1 gag every minute but also provide a fair vision on the HK society of the time and address social issues. Let have a look back to those who brought back the Cantonese-language cinema up to date in HK and save the film industry’s day after the loss of Bruce Lee.
