Plot |
|
Set Wa who lives in a poverty stricken mountain village in Mainland China has to cross the Malin River everyday to go to school. A series of rain floods the Malin, and after witnessing a student being swept away by the raging river Set Wa skips school for a day, resulting in a beating from his father. During the autumn harvest, his father is paralyzed after a fall. Set Wa finally receives a letter of acceptance for being a model student, but who will take care of his father? (Mei Ah)
