Plot

Big Blue Lake is a story of love, family, and the changes that transpire in people and places. Cheung Lai Yee left Ho Chung Village, where she was born and grew up. In her twenties, she devoted her youth to the performing stages of China and overseas. Almost a decade later, after having been through much hardships and failures, she returns to her roots to give herself a break. However, she finds everything Ho Chung had changed.

Cheung’s life takes a colorful turn with Lin Jin’s arrival. They were once high school classmates for two years before Lin moved away. Reuniting unexpectedly in Ho Chung, the two then set off on a journey of self discovery, and Cheung secretly falls in love with Lin...

While searching for old memories in the village, Cheung finds that her interactions with old acquaintances and new friends create new stories and new memories. The characters in Big Blue Lake often do things they regret, but they finally find the strength to let go of the past and start anew.
